eCLIC Emergency Networks Meeting
Venue:
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP
2475 Hanover Street Palo Alto, CA 94304
eCLIC Meeting topic to be announced.
The WCA's newly-formed Emergency Communications Leadership and Innovation Center (aka "eCLIC") will serve as an open forum to stimulate the advancement and widespread use of wireless broadband internet protocol networks for emergency services and disaster recovery management. The eCLIC will leverage decades of field experience among its membership to focus on three critical areas which comprise the "eCLIC Success Triad":
- Visionary Leadership (Policies & Procedures)
- Technology Innovation (Hard Infrastructure)
- Skills & Application Innovation (Soft Infrastructure)
The first eCLIC pilot project, the Livermore Info Net Collaborative (aka "LINC") is already underway. This unique effort brings together Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District, Livermore/Pleasanton Fire Department, Livermore Police Department, and the Governor's Office of Emergency Services. eCLIC builds upon practical experience with U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Technology Evaluation projects.
